FREAKING MCDICK'S!!!

So some months ago, the nearest McDonald's (Cambie) by work was torn down to make way for some huber-overexpensive-closet-condo's. I mean, one morning I get off the bus and get a hashbrown on the way to work and the next morning, it's closed. No warning, no messages on the doors to say it was closing, nadda. What made it strange (at the time) was that it had just moved the year before from around the corner (hard to access) to this perfect spot (parking, visability, bus stop on the doorstop) - so who would think it would close? It was just weird how it just was gone and hasn't moved into another surrounding area. So anyway, a sign appeared a few weeks later - come visit our other locations at Granville and Kitsilano.

Now if you are a Vancouverite - if I said that this one is on Cambie - do you believe that anyone can go to the Granville or Kits location with any type of ease???? Not on a break, not before work (unless you are SUPER early). Retarded. They spent money on that sign but couldn't put one up to say they were closing?

But anyway, this isn't my point tonight. I haven't had the opportunity to go to McDick's in some time since this location closed. So for lunch today I was at a different site and low and behold - there's a McDonald's in walking distance. So Periop and I had lunch there. I get McNuggets and I ask for the mustard dipping sauce that I so enjoy and #$*&@^!!! they don't carry it anymore!!

HOT MUSTARD DIPPING SAUCE HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED!!!
IT HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH HONEY MUSTARD!!! EWWW!!!

Stupid McDick's. So, I won't be getting McNuggets anymore. I dislike all their dipping sauces now. And the nuggets suck without the dipping sauce. The honey mustard, for the record, looks gross and though I forced myself to try it - makes the chicken taste super sweet. BOO!

So you're reading this thinking that this is stupid tragedy of my life. Yeah well, I liked the hot mustard - mixed well with ketchup and McChicken sauce - use it to dip with fries & nuggets and spiced up the Big Mac. It was beautiful! And it's gone. *sigh*

On a side bar: while passing through Indianapolis, McDonald's had a spicy chicken burger on the menu. Why hasn't it come to Canada yet? Bet it kicks ass on Wendy's spicy chicken burger. And if Canada had to suffer through the God awful pizza, we deserve to try out the spicy chicken!!
